Which documents do I need to start the loan application process for a Florida home mortgage loan?

The following is a list of documents generally required during the initial loan application process. You may or may not need everything on our purchase checklist, but for a fast and easy loan process, have these items available when you’re ready to complete your mortgage application.

Mortgage Loan Pre-approval process Checklist:

Two most recent monthly assets statements with all numbered pages.
Most recent 30-days pay-check stubs (4 in a row if paid weekly, 2 if paid every two weeks.)
W-2 forms and/or 1099 forms dating back two years.
Your divorce decree and current order of support if you pay child support, or if you are receiving alimony or child support and will use it as qualifying income on your loan application.
Self-employment income, rental property income or commission income.
Personal Federal Tax Returns and Business returns dating back to the last two years (If you have a corporation or partnership.)
Child support income (Only if you use it to qualify for the mortgage.) Proof of continuous receipt of child support for the past 12 months.
